Hey guys, Just wanted to clear up some confusion in this post! I do agree that if a content creator locks their glyph behind a paywall exclusively they should be reported to one of the community management members over at DE, I also feel that content creator glyphs should be made available to everyone via a global code for example if you wanted my glyph you would type in iFlynn on the Promocodes page on the website and you would have my glyph. So tell me, is it really worth spending time and giving money to someone that you may not even like, for a glyph that is supposed to be free? May not sound like it, but they're actually using your desire of get that shiny glyph to actually make money out of it!
Not only they force you to actively watch them, but also make you PAY them for the glyph (yeah you're not actually paying them, we all know how it works on internet: views, ads, etc.). Not to mention that most of the players who got past that wall will either unsubscribe and say goodbye or just not give any dam about the content anyway, leaving behind a false community, that is there only for the glyph, and not for the actual content. On the other hand, those who limit the amount of obtainable glyph are just forcing people to whatch their content, will have less players seeing the glyphs around, thus less popularity overall.

"But what if they just get the glyph and never come back?" well no problem, at worst you'll have some free in-game adverising, would you refuse that? That will help increasing the popularity of the content creator. They give players a way of represent them, and this will resoult in a larger group of players getting interest about that particular channel, and maybe even subscribe if they like the content.
